Spinal Cord Stimulator

A spinal cord stimulator is an implanted device that emits pulsed electrical signals to the spinal cord to control chronic pain.  Spinal cord stimulation consists of stimulating electrodes placed (implanted) in the epidural space.  The conducting wires are connected to a generator (long-life battery pack) which is implanted under the skin.

Spinal cord stimulation is used to treat very specific diagnosis and should be carefully discussed with your physician.
